COMPUTER INSTRUMENTATION

All of Vibro-pile's CFA piling and Displacement Screw Piling (put links in to piling section) are equipped with the latest generation of on board computer monitoring systems which display and record all critical aspects of pile construction. By displaying construction data directly into the cabin of the machine in real time and automatically downloading pile records back to the office after completion of each pile these systems offer the highest degree of quality control of any piling system available in the world.

During drilling the computer monitors auger depth, penetration rate, rotational torque and drilling energy. These parameters are recorded on the hard drive and also displayed in real time on a computer screen into the cabin of the rig. By calibrating drilling parameters against site specific geotechnical data our on board computers enable founding strata to be identified during drilling thus largely eliminating one of the earlier disadvantages of CFA piling in that founding strata was difficult to determine during pile construction.

During concreting of the pile extraction rate, concrete pressure and concrete volume are displayed and the theoretical pile shaft profile (calculated by the computer) is displayed.

All computers are pre-set by our engineers with construction tolerances. If any of these tolerances are exceeded, audible and visual alarms are activated. This system thereby allows pile non-conformances to be rectified immediately by re-drilling and then re-concreting the non-conforming section of the pile shaft.
